Tameka Usher

Senior Human Capital Development Associate

Tameka Usher possesses more than 20 years of diverse human resources expertise in the public sector transportation industry. Over the span of her career in the field, she has held a variety of positions, delivered program operations, leadership, strategic planning, and training services to various public agencies. She has extensive competencies in areas such as classification (job analysis) and compensation studies (e.g., base salary, total compensation, benefits, and cost analysis), talent acquisition, organizational development/assessment, employee relations, training and development, and the creation and review of policies and procedures.  Tameka’s experience includes serving as the Director of Administrative Services for the City of Rocklin, California; the Director of Human Resources for the County of Eldorado, California; and serving as a consultant. While a consultant, she worked for CPS HR Consultant as a management consultant and principal human resources consultant where she managed the full scope of human resources projects for various sized state, higher education, and local government agencies. While with Koff and Associates, she worked as a senior project manager where she managed classification and compensation projects and developed and facilitated training for public and private sector clients.

Her well-established experience and reputation for excellent work, technical skills, problem-solving, as well as strategic and creative thinking, allows her to provide collaborative solutions to clients.  Collaborative being the “keyword”. She listens to clients and many times will hear what they do not tell her so that, in the end, their needs are fully addressed and met.

Tameka has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.
